Melodrama

Melodrama By Madart Painting
Melodrama By Madart Painting

Shadows around, they covered my light
Black shadows, lines scattered on white papers
Incoherent words, metaphors, similes
And some blood to flow in the veins

You see is that I never told you that I love you
You see is that you never asked me
See? Nothing has changed here
Everything is as you left it

The days that go by, let the time flowing starkly onto me
The nights? The nights are endless between empty bottles
It’s that I never heard you saying here I am
Where are you? You’re lost! I love you! Can you hear me?

Georgios Rachiotis

Original Version of the poem “Melodrama”
Written by Georgios Rachiotis
For a group of poems under the name “Last Performance”

Πού είσαι; Χάθηκες! Σ’ αγαπώ! Ακούς;
